September 23, 2013

Someone we need clearly to write and spread about Carthage activities the word.

If the previous sentence makes perfect sense to you, stop reading. But if you’re a student who’s able to write clearly, sift through mounds of information to spot the heart of the story, and reliably meet deadlines, this might be the job for you.

The Carthage Office of Communications is looking for a public relations worker who will:

  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Post Carthage events to a variety of online calendars
  • Suggest additions to and manage media relations contacts list
  • Write news articles as needed

The snazziest candidate will have experience in public relations and knowledge of local and national media. You’ll beef up your resume and portfolio while working with a team of communications pros that is serious about its work but determined to have fun along the way.

The student will work an average of 10 hours per week, starting at $7.50 per hour, and schedules can be flexible as long as you can work during regular office hours.
