Physics major Danielle Weiland ‘14 has been awarded an undergraduate scholarship from the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium. Danielle has been a member of the Carthage Microgravity Team for three years and served as team captain of the 2013 team.

The award is offered annually to a small number of undergraduate science majors across the state who are pursuing space-related studies. It recognizes both achievement in space science research as well as the promise of future success in the field.

Danielle, of Kenosha, accepted the award in August at a WSGC ceremony at Marquette University where she was also presented her research on zero-gravity de-gassing of spacecraft coolant FC-72 using membrane filtration.
