Cory Schrandt awarded $10,000 Rossing Scholarship
Physics major Cory Schrandt ‘14 has been named a Rossing Physics Scholar for the 2013-14 academic year. The $10,000 grant is highly competitive and is awarded annually to a single student of exceptional merit by the ELCA Foundation through the Thomas D. Rossing Fund for Physics Education Endowment.
Cory is the first Carthage physics major to receive the prestigious Rossing award, which annually recognizes an exemplary physics student from among applicants from the 40 ELCA colleges across the country.
Cory is active in Carthage’s nationally recognized chapter of the Society of Physics Students and currently serves as president of the chapter.
