    Erica Anderson, Oboe, is a member of the Chicago Philharmonic and Quintet Attacca. She has performed with the Joffrey Ballet, MusicNOW, Present Music of Milwaukee, Chicago Lyric Opera, Music of the Baroque, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, and the Chicago, Grant Park, Milwaukee, Lake Forest, and Elgin Symphonies. With her orchestral performances, she has performed with Andrea Bocelli, Misty Copeland, Five for Fighting, Sarah McLachlan, Audra McDonald, Seth MacFarlane, Idina Menzel, Natalie Merchant, Bernadette Peters, and Itzhak Perlman.

    As a founding member of Quintet Attacca, she won the gold medal and grand prize of the 2002 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. With Quintet Attacca, she performs many formal and outreach concerts throughout the midwest, as well as past concerts in New York City, Italy, and Live on WFMT. Quintet Attacca is an ensemble-in-residence at the Music Institute of Chicago.

    As an educator, Ms. Anderson is in demand as a guest clinician, with many classes led in Evanston, Skokie, and Chicago.  She teaches at Carthage College, Elmhurst College, and Music Institute of Chicago, where she currently has over 25 students. A specialist in early oboe pedagogy, she has completed Every Child Can Suzuki training.  At MIC, she designs and runs the Quintet Attacca Chamber Camp, Oboe Intensive Camp, and Oboe Reed Making Workshop.

    Ms. Anderson attended Interlochen Arts Academy, Eastman School of Music (BM), and DePaul University (MM). She studied with Richard Killmer, Daniel Stolper, and Robert Morgan.
