Tamsin is originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, but she spent her last four years before coming to Carthage in Northfield, Minnesota, attending St. Olaf College. While at St. Olaf, she created an individual musical theater major through the St. Olaf Center for Integrated Studies.
Tamsin was a Junior Counselor (RA) for two years working primarily with first-year students. In addition, she held a student coordinator position in the admissions office and volunteered as a TRIO Mentor, helping encourage under-represented middle and high school students to begin thinking about their college interests.
In January 2019, she studied at an intentional community in the Cascade Mountains in Washington State and learned about community living practices and how to cross country ski.
Outside of school, Tamsin instructed children’s dance classes and worked as a barista. She’s also spent seven summers volunteering and working at residential and summer day camps working with children ages 4-17.
