Describe your company culture.
Our company culture is very welcoming. Every department in the building is willing and eager to help each other out. We are laid back allowing employees to feel very comfortable while they are at work. Some challenges that employees may face are because we are an innovative company with some of the most creative people working here, there are times when co-workers may have creative differences.
When you are looking for new employees, what do you search for?
What we look for may change depending on the position, but our overall expectation for employees is that they must be creative, outgoing, team orientated, organized, and detail orientated.
What does a typical hiring process look like for your organization?
Typically we like to have 1 or 2 (depending on the position) phone interviews with the candidate before we bring them in to meet with the head of the department, other employees of the department, and to take a tour of our facility. We want to be sure that the candidate feels like Catalyst is the right place for them to work as well as us getting a feel for if they would be a right fit for the company.
What tips do have for students and alumni who are looking to enter your industry?
While we can’t speak for the entire industry, we can speak for Catalyst Exhibits. We are a growing company that focuses on development and growth from within. So, we are looking for employees that are willing to work hard in an entry level position (in the job area they have interest) and then grow with the company.
