John is a director of admissions and financial aid at Carthage, and a 2011 graduate. Graduating with an English major and complementary minors in Secondary Education and Psychology, he went on to receive his M.S.Ed. from Northern Illinois University in 2013 before starting his career in higher education.

“I love working in a student-centric environment where the focus is on our students as individuals, allowing us to support their needs and aspirations every step of the way.”
“I enjoy working out, playing soccer and I love to cook.”

“I have always loved Homecoming, it really shines a light on how involved our campus is.”
Favorite TV show:
“I have watched every episode of The Office and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia far too many times for it to be socially acceptable.”

Favorite sports team:
“I’m a huge soccer fan so at the club level, Atletico Madrid and then of course the US National Teams.”
What would people be surprised to know about you?
“I grew up overseas, living in Mali, Kuwait, Nigeria, Egypt, and Mexico.”
What are your recommendations for people new to Kenosha?
“Besides having the best breakfast restaurants anywhere, explore the downtown. We have world class museums, a beautiful lakefront, and Harborside Market is always great on Saturdays!”

“The Wine Knot or Soon’s. Both are great!”
