What have you enjoyed most about your career?

“The thing I have enjoyed the most about my career is the ability to do different assignments and explore other areas of law enforcement.”

How did Carthage prepare you?

“The aspect of my Carthage experience that prepared me the most for my career was the ability to think critically and listen to others. It’s my job to solve problems in the community and you have to be able to listen to what the concerns are and then use your critical thinking skills to come up with a solution.”

How has your liberal arts education benefitted you?

“The skills that I learned and honed at Carthage really laid the foundation for several things I do every day! As a law enforcement officer, there are problems that need to be solved every day and crimes that need to be investigated and solved. The ability to think through a problem, analyze evidence, and utilize the knowledge I have available to me pertaining to a certain case to make the right decision were all skills that I learned during my time at Carthage.”
