Breanna Reynolds ’21
Breanna Reynolds ’21 is the admissions events and program coordinator at Carthage. She is originally from Arlington Heights, Ill., and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Carthage.
Life before Carthage:
“I committed to Carthage when I was a senior at Buffalo Grove High School in 2017, and have barely left the College since! During my time at Carthage as a student, I worked part-time as a student ambassador and at the front desk of the Admissions Office. I was also a captain of the Dance Team and a member of Alpha Chi Omega, where I held two executive board positions. When I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2021, I worked for a year at an engineering-based company called CMA/Flodyne/Hydradyne as the communications coordinator before ultimately returning to Carthage.”
Best college search tip:
“Don’t let others impact your decision! This is four years of your life. Go wherever makes you the happiest.”
What do you learn from interacting with Carthage students?
“I love hearing everyone’s different outlook on life. As silly as it seems, it’s so nice to constantly be surrounded by different students who have varying opinions on a certain situation. They’re often able to put things in perspective for me, and I love how comfortable students are in the Admissions Office.”
What do you value most about working at Carthage?
“I value the people I work with and the wonderful students I get to meet on a daily basis. Not to mention the view and location!”
“I love dancing, whether I’m performing or the one watching. I also enjoy reading whenever I have the time!”
Favorite Carthage tradition:
“This is probably what everyone says, but definitely Homecoming. As a student, watching all the alumni return was so always so fun, and now as an alumna, actually getting to return to campus and reunite with all my friends, professors, and coaches is even better! I always loved participating in the parade down Campus Drive and dancing at halftime of the football game. I have the best memories from every Carthage Homecoming.”
Favorite TV show:
“Criminal Minds, The Vampire Diaries, or One Tree Hill.”
“Any movies from The Hunger Games or the Harry Potter franchises.”
What would people be surprised to know about you?
“Outside of Carthage, I also teach dance at the studio I grew up at. I have been dancing since I was two years old!”
What are your recommendations for people new to Kenosha?
“If you like coffee, you have to try The Buzz. I was introduced to their coffee and baked goods my sophomore year and have been hooked ever since! Two additional places that are ‘must-visits’ are the lighthouse in Downtown Kenosha over the summer and Petrifying Springs Park in the fall while the leaves are changing!”
