“I chose Carthage because I wanted that small school feel, so I could form good relationships with my professors. Carthage is pretty close to my home but also far enough to get that independence that I wanted. Lastly, the campus was just so pretty, and I love the view of the lake every morning!”

“After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in middle or high school P.E. teaching, as well as continuing my coaching career in volleyball.”

How have Carthage faculty had an impact on your life or Carthage career?

“My advisor, Professor Rebekah Johnson, has really helped me shape the path for my future and showed me she believes in my future goals. She has made me so excited about my career path and motivated me to follow my ambitions. She is always so supportive and willing to help her students in any way. I look up to her so much, and I am so grateful to be able to have her in my life.”

Campus involvement

“On campus, I am involved in Pi Sigma Epsilon, Alpha Phi Omega, Carthage College Women’s Lacrosse Team, and Vice President of the Class of 2023 Gift Committee.”

Internships or on-campus employment

“On campus, I work in the Alumni and Family Engagement Office, Marketing Communications Office, and the TARC. I have two internships on campus with the Alumni Office doing social media and Marketing and Communication Office doing digital communications.”
