Mary Mutua

Class Year

Mary Mutua knew at once that Carthage was the place for her, even from thousands of miles away. “I had a conviction that it was a good place, but now I know that it was the place that I was meant to be.”

Mary traveled from Kenya to study economics at Carthage. “Economics opens someone’s mind and develops a global perspective to learn how the real world works,” she says.

“Deciding to come to Carthage College is the best decision that you will ever make,” she said. “The beauty of the campus, the breeze from the lake, and friendly people are all that you are looking for in a college. Carthage will expose you to a learning experience that will make you compete on all levels.”

“Being an international student, Carthage College has exceeded my expectations. I found a home away from home.”
