Prof. Clark spent her junior year at the Miami University Dolibois European Center in Luxembourg, where she discovered her passion for international economics, globalization, and trade.

“Studying abroad changed my life,” asserts Prof. Clark. “Living and learning in a different culture sparked my journey into economics and globalization and a lifelong ardor for travel and experiencing other points of view. I strive to bring this global and inclusive view to my own research and class discussions and materials.”

Prof. Clark began her career as an adjunct professor of economics at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, where she taught classes on macroeconomics; microeconomics; the economics of globalization, law, and economics; and many honors courses.

Prof. Clark also coordinated the internship program for economics and international studies students. About career support at Carthage, Prof. Clark says, “I know how important an internship experience is for students to truly learn about their field of study and about themselves and their future career. I incorporate job search and internship tips into all my courses to help support our students here at Carthage to achieve success with their career goals.”

Prof. Clark teaches Introduction to Microeconomics (ECN 1010) and Introduction to Macroeconomics (ECN 1020) at Carthage College. She focuses her curriculum on current events, globalization, and technology and our changing economy. She is known by her students for her true enthusiasm for economics. “From my first visit to Carthage, I was struck by the strong sense of community and support here. I love teaching at Carthage and sparking my own students’ interest in economics and the world around us.”

Prof. Clark is also very involved in local government in Lake County, Illinois.
