    Professor Sarah Snow is a professional chemist with experience in academia as well as the chemical, health care, and material science industries, with proven abilities in research, product development, commercialization, technical training and development, and university grant evaluation. She currently is an assistant professor of chemistry at Carthage College and enjoys teaching and mentoring young adults as well as completing occasional external technical writing, editing, or regulatory contract assignments.

    Before coming to Carthage, Prof. Snow worked in the health care industry for Clorox Professional Products Technical Service (Midland, Michigan) specializing in understanding, interpreting, and communicating health care industry requirements and providing information and expertise customized to meet the needs of Clorox sales and marketing, infection preventionists, and environmental service personnel.

    Prior to that, she was the Clorox Midland, Mich. site research and development and technical service manager, coordinating research and development teams as they developed and tested new and improved products.

    Additionally, Prof. Snow has worked in the health care industry at Caltech Industries (Midland, Mich.), the chemical and material science industry at Dow Corning Corporation (Midland, Mich.), and at Saginaw Valley State University.

    She has authored over 50 technical reports, 21 published articles, 13 external presentations, and has two patents. She holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of Utah, and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of North Dakota.
