Pascal Rollet
Professor Pascal Rollet specializes in 19th century French literature and the culture of modern France. He teaches French, Spanish and Carthage Symposium courses on poetry in French or Spanish and music. Since coming to Carthage, he has been committed to the promotion of study abroad, the development of multi-cultural awareness and the use of music in the language classroom. His most recent work include original musical compositions sung in French or Spanish, addressing particular linguistic difficulties encountered by language learners.
Prof. Rollet earned his Licence en lettres d’enseignement d’anglais from the University of Caen, France; M.A. from the University of Kentucky; and Ph. D. from the University of Pennsylvania, where he held the William Penn and Mellon Dissertation Fellowships. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. He joined the Carthage faculty in 1993.
