    Jacob Dinauer is the Assistant Athletic Director-Sports Medicine and a Senior Lecturer of Exercise & Sport Science. In this role, Jake provides administrative oversight of medical services for all Carthage student-athletes as part of the athletics administration team. He leads and supervises the clinical athletic training staff providing emergency care, injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Additionally, he is the designated NCAA Athletics Health Care Administrator, assuring compliance with NCAA health and safety legislation and with inter-association consensus statements that impact student-athlete health and safety. He also provides administrative oversight of the sport performance and strength and conditioning staff. He provides primary sports medicine care for Carthage football, men’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s golf. Jacob joined Carthage Athletics in a split academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Exercise & Sport Science. He has taught eleven Exercise & Sport Science and Athletic Training courses since returning to Carthage in 2004. Jake has completed additional training as a licensed Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor, and Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor. He is also a certified Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) provider. Jake volunteers as an Assistant Chief on the Raymond Fire & Rescue Department and is an adjunct Fire/EMS instructor and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Examiner at Gateway Technical College.
