Matt Mifflin is a multi-faceted guitarist and passionate educator whose teachings emphasize the importance of stylistic diversity as a guitarist.
As a guitarist, Mr. Mifflin has performed in a range of settings from solo recitals and collaborative settings such as early music ensembles, contemporary music ensembles, musicals, operas, and modern metal groups. Within these settings, he has performed on classical guitar, baroque guitar, Renaissance lute, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar.
In addition to his appointment as adjunct faculty of guitar at Carthage, Mr. Mifflin maintains a private studio in Kenosha, Wis., teaching a variety of styles such as classical, electric, and acoustic guitar, to students of all ages and skill levels.
Mr. Mifflin earned his Master of Music in Classical Guitar performance from Northwestern University and his Bachelor of Arts in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
