What have you enjoyed most about your career?

“I am able to learn every single day. I am always challenged to think creatively and am forced to be agile in my role. I love talking with technology vendor C-level executives.”

How did Carthage prepare you?

“Carthage gave me the opportunity to network and the ability to enroll in sales and marketing specific classes.”

Why did you choose Carthage?

“I chose Carthage because I wanted to play volleyball, be close to home, and get a well-rounded education.”

What opportunities were made possible because of your Carthage experience?

“Carthage gave me the opportunity to go on J-Term trips, earn a double major, and obtain my current job at Gartner (I was referred by a Carthage graduate).”

What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?

“My senior thesis course with Professor Gregory Barron was priceless. He was not only able to give incredible insight into the world of business, but he sparked interest and got students excited to write about their topic. My senior thesis was titled ‘How Companies Maintain Employee Retention Rates Through Benefits, Incentives, and Compensation.’ That topic plays directly in the role I am in today.

“Professors J.J. Shields, Mark Mrowiec, Lisa Franklin, and Yuri Maltsev (rest in peace) were also very impactful.”

What role have the values in Carthage's mission, "Seeking Truth, Building Strength, Inspiring Service — Together" played in your life?

“Carthage is such a strong community, and those relationships last throughout life after college. During my short four-year journey, I met so many friends who are willing to help me with anything today. I am grateful for the Carthage community as it has made me a stronger person, both professionally and personally.”
