“My favorite class at Carthage has been Operating Systems. The class focuses on many interesting components of operating systems and the history of these components, and it offers challenging explorations of how these components work.”
“Abstract Algebra II is a very challenging (and very rewarding) class. It covers deeply abstract, relatively recent concepts in mathematics, and much of its material is based on graduate-level texts.”

“I gave a talk on cryptography at the Spring 2019 Mathematical Association of America meeting at Carthage.”
“I received Carthage’s Math/Science Scholarship. I was honored to receive this scholarship, especially as it was in the field of my majors.”
Favorite moments and memories at Carthage
“Some of my favorite Carthage memories have been giving a presentation at the 2019 MAA meeting, riding the computer science homecoming float, and taking the Putnam Competition.”
Biggest surprise so far
“I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Carthage’s liberal arts classes. Carthage’s Intellectual History of Western Heritage course, as well as the honors classes I’ve taken, have been particularly memorable.”
What would your 8-year-old self think of you now?
“I think he would be excited about where I am and what I’ve learned.”
