Before starting at Carthage in March 2024, Melanie Landro had over 20 years of experience working in corporate and small business marketing, communication, design, administrative support, and volunteer management, including five years of experience in education and with nonprofits.

Main responsibilities at Carthage

Melanie is the welcoming face to everyone who visits the Office of Advancement and supports the office’s efforts to achieve the strategic goals for Carthage alumni, donor, and student experiences. She also manages and coordinates the alumni, faculty, staff, and student volunteers supporting the Office of Advancement and the College’s events, including Homecoming, the Christmas Festival, Commencement, and other donor and stewardship events throughout the year.

“I’m a Kenosha native who loves spending time by the lake and appreciates the natural beauty of Carthage campus. I also love photography, nature, fishing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and spending time with my husband and children.”
