Originally from Nebraska, the Rev. Adam Miller-Stubbendick earned a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College. He spent a year in Cairo, Egypt as a seminary intern at St. Andrew’s United Church.

Pastor Adam’s pastoral experience includes serving ELCA congregations in Nebraska and western New York, and students at Elon University in North Carolina as assistant chaplain and director of religious and spiritual life. In 2022, Pastor Adam traveled to Jerusalem and the West Bank through an ELCA program that coordinates international ministry opportunities for young adults. He joined Carthage in 2024 as the campus pastor.

His wife, Jordan, is an ordained ELCA minister, and they have two sons, Julian and Ari.
