Deborah Lehman
Biography
Deborah Lehman was born and raised on the east side of Michigan. She pursued her undergraduate education at Trinity International University, located in Deerfield, Illinois. Throughout her time at TIU, Ms. Lehman served her campus as a resident assistant, the co-founder of a prayer organization, and planned a number of all-campus events. Her participation in the honors program exposed her to incredible cultural opportunities in the Chicago area, culminating in a senior thesis defense about the psychology of parasocial relationships.
Ms. Lehman graduated with honors from TIU with a B.A. in Psychology, with a counseling emphasis. Being deeply impacted by her own RA and housing staff at TIU, Ms. Lehman was inspired to seek out a job in which she could give back. Having experiences through an internship at the Institute of Soil and Soul in Long Grove, Illinois and her role as a writing and statistics tutor, she realized her love for students and passion for growth.
Now at Carthage, Ms. Lehman serves as the Johnson Hall Director.

Main responsibilities at Carthage
As Johnson Hall Director, Ms. Lehman oversees daily operations for Johnson Hall, including supervising and supporting student staff, serving as a resource for students, and holding students accountable. She also serves as part of the College’s on-call team and responds to crisis situations and policy violations across campus.
Other interests?
In her off time, Ms. Lehman enjoys a variety of visual arts, reading, writing, and nature while hiking or traveling.
