    Kris Klimisch attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Bachelor of Nursing program from 1988-1992 and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in June 1992. She then joined the United States Navy Nurse Corps and was married and moved overseas for her first nursing assignment.

    In 2000, Kris was selected to attend the University of Maryland Graduate Nursing program for her Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialty in pediatrics. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in July of 2002 and became a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

    Kris has been a nurse for 29 years, gaining experience in medical-surgical, O.B., Pediatric Intensive Care, and a number of supervisory and managerial positions, most of that experience occurring during her twenty-year military career as a Navy Nurse.

    Following her retirement from the U.S. Navy, Kris worked as a school nurse for the Kenosha Unified School District as well as a registered nurse on the Pediatric Unit at Froedtert South/St. Catherine’s Campus. During her extensive nursing career, Kris has taught numerous courses on Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Newborn Care, and various other certification programs.
