    Kris Leslie has been working in the fitness industry since 1990. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After working as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and fitness director, she decided to pursue a Master of Science in Educational Psychology in hopes of working in higher education. She is also certified as a personal trainer through ACE (American Council on Exercise) and is a certified yoga instructor.

    Prof. Leslie has worked for health clubs, a corporate fitness facility, and a private golf course. Along with working at Carthage, she is also a health club manager for a hotel resort. She has been working at Carthage since 2011. 

    Prof. Leslie initially started as a personal trainer in the Semler Fitness Center and an instructor for the Concepts of Physical Fitness Course. Since then Kris has added several courses for the Exercise Science Department. Her true passion is working with and teaching college students at Carthage. Being able to share knowledge and experience with them is very rewarding.
