Justin Miller

Professor Justin Miller came to Carthage as an adjunct professor in 2012. He joined the Biology Department in Fall 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Biology.

In his research, Prof. Miller aims to understand the neural circuitry of breathing and how various disease states affect chemical levels in the breathing centers of the brain — work he’ll continue through a fellowship at Milwaukee VA Medical Center.

He’s also been a champion bodybuilder, adventure racer, beer-brewing instructor, and car restorer.
