    Professor Debbie Minsky-Kelly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She earned a Master in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago in 1995. Her work experience as a clinical social worker includes serving as a director with Rogers Memorial Hospital in Kenosha, which provides mental health and substance abuse treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

    Professor Kelly brings more than 20 years of clinical social work experience in settings including child welfare, homeless healthcare, and hospital mental health. She has been involved in research efforts in the area of the healthcare system’s response to intimate partner violence. Ongoing research and clinical interests include the effects of trauma across the lifespan, development of trauma informed organizations, and the impact of secondary traumatic stress on professionals.
