Maximum Capacity (or Max Cap) is the all-male, student led, a cappella group on campus. This group performs a cappella versions of popular songs, with most arrangements created by group members. Songs have ranged from Dynamite by Taio Cruz to Longest Time by Billy Joel, from a mash-up of All Star by Smash Mouth and One Week by the Barenaked Ladies to original pieces composed by our singers, to Disney Medleys, to all sorts of pieces in between.
We meet 3 times a week for a total of 4 hours of rehearsal.
What are some of your org's major events and activities?
In addition to our own concerts, we have taken part in Relay for Life, Make a Wish benefit concerts, several performances off-campus, and joint concerts with the Carthachords.
Why should people join this organization?
The time commitment is small and the rewards are huge. Rehearsals are often more fun than they are work, and getting to perform with and for your peers is an amazing experience. Also, ladies love guys who can sing!
Who can join?
Any guy who can sing well enough to pass our simple and not-too-selective audition process. Women looking for an a cappella group should talk to the ladies of the Carthachords.
