Hey, welcome to ASC! We spread awareness and fight for social justice by fundraising, hosting events, tabling, volunteering, promoting social justice issues on social media, attending events, holding Days for Girls sewing events, watching social justice movies together and more! Come to as many events as you are able.
9:15 p.m. every other Thursday during the fall semester in JAC 205.
Meetings dates: Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 4, Dec. 5
What are some of your org's major events and activities?
Every month we get together as a club and watch a documentary or informational show about a specific community or topic. After this, we learn about activists from this community, and what policies we can contact our representatives about regarding that community.
In addition to this we have our Days for Girls sewing events where we make period supplies for those who menstruate in other countries, so they will no longer have to miss out on school just because of their period.
We also will have various extra events throughout the month.
Why should people join this organization?
Those who are interested in social justice work and getting more educated on other communities would love this club. We are open to any and all ideas from other students.
Who can join?
Anyone can join! Students of all ages and majors are welcome.
