Carthage continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and directives from local government and health agencies. The College’s policies regarding large-scale events will continue to be based on the most current recommendations and consideration for the health and wellbeing of students, their families, and our faculty and staff. We are optimistic that we will host on-campus events in spring 2022. If we cannot host large gatherings due to federal or state mandates, programs will be delivered virtually for graduates and families to view from home.
As of March 21, 2022, masks are optional on campus, and we are optimistic that all Commencement activities will be mask-optional as well. We will continue to monitor positive case rates and the recommendations of the CDC and our local health department for guidance should conditions change. Please be sure to come prepared with face masks for everyone in your party, including the graduate.
Carthage is keeping graduates and their guests safe by organizing segmented arrival times, limiting time in enclosed spaces, and keeping guests with graduates in pods while on campus. Visit our COVID-19 website for more information about the safety protocols graduates and guests will be expected to follow.
