Apply to Graduate
When do I receive my diploma?
Graduates will receive their diplomas at the Commencement ceremony as long as all of the following criteria are met:
- Final grades are submitted, and graduation requirements are completed by 5 p.m. Friday, May 26.
- Students need a zero balance for financial holds to be lifted and to receive their diplomas. Please get in touch with the Office of Student Financial Services at studentfinances@carthage.edu.
I am late in applying to graduate. Can I still graduate?
Yes, graduates are required to complete the application, even if they have missed the deadline for their name to be listed in the program. Contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@carthage.edu as soon as you determine your plans to graduate to get access to the application.
All graduates are also required to have a cap and gown to attend the ceremony. The window to order a cap and gown from Herff Jones is January 6 through March 7. Check back on January 6 to access the order website.
What if I complete my degree in summer or fall 2023?
Graduates who are completing their final 12 credits of degree requirements in summer 2023 or four credits of degree requirements in fall 2023 may be able to participate in the ceremonies in spring 2023. Contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@carthage.edu for approval.
When can I pick up my Cap and Gown?
All cap and gown orders were available to pick up on Thursday, April 27, in the Campbell Student Living Room. If you couldn’t pick up your regalia on April 27, you may visit the bookstore during regular business hours.
