The Commencement Committee has reinvented Carthage graduation traditions and incorporated exciting new elements to create a unique graduation experience for the Class of 2022.

Senior, Faculty, and Staff BBQ — This Event has changed

In place of the Senior BBQ, we’ll host a Graduate, Faculty, Staff Reception to immediately follow the Last Night Celebration on Friday, May 20. Read more details below.

Last Night: A Celebration of the Class of 2022

A. F. Siebert Chapel
7 p.m.
Limited parent and family tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis! Limit four (4) tickets per family. Get your tickets!
Put on your cap and gown and join your fellow graduates for a high-energy celebration that includes remarks from the Distinguished Senior, faculty speaker, and President Swallow. Honorary degrees and Distinguished Alumni Awards will also be awarded. A live stream will be available for parents and families who are unable to attend.

Last Night Reception

Campbell Student Union
8:30 p.m.
Immediately following the Last Night event, attendees are invited to enjoy a celebratory reception in the Campbell Student Union. Each graduate in attendance at the Last Night event will receive two (2) complimentary drink tickets. Additional beverages will be available for purchase.

Class of 2022 Commencement Procession

Because of COVID-19, Carthage's Class of 2021 Commencement looked a bit different. Graduates and ... South Upper Lot Entrance, H. F. Johnson Center of the Fine Arts (JAC)
10 a.m.-4 p.m. (segmented arrival *)
Graduates and their eight ticketed guests will process through an extended procession line. Each party will have the opportunity to stop at “Graduation Stations,” walk the red carpet and interact with immersive digital content on the way to the graduation stage. The entire route will take 25-30 minutes to complete. A live stream will be available for parents and families not in attendance.
