Commencement Ceremony & Celebration
Friday, May 17 - 7:00 pm
A. F. Siebert Chapel
For those who would like to experience the most traditional elements of commencement, this ceremony will include the procession of faculty and graduates, band and choral performances, remarks from Carthage’s president, faculty, distinguished alumni, and senior speaker, and the conferring of degrees. Following the ceremony, graduates and their families and friends are invited to a reception — more details to come! Each graduate will receive three Commencement Ceremony tickets (one for the graduate and two for guests). If space allows, additional tickets may be offered for the Commencement Ceremony.
Commencement Red Carpet Processions
Saturday, May 18- School of Business and Ecnonomics, Natural and Social Sciences Division, Arts and Humanities Division
Sunday, May 19- Professional Studies Division
Graduates will begin their procession at the south doors of the JAC (South Upper Lot)
The procession at Carthage is a unique take on the traditional ceremony. Graduates will process through several campus buildings with family and friends culminating in a walk across the stage to receive their diploma. Students are assigned a date and time that aligns with others in the same academic division. Each graduate will receive nine Commencement Procession tickets — one ticket for graduates and eight tickets for guests. Additional tickets are unavailable, and those without tickets will not be admitted.
