Admission to the Carthage BSN Program is competitive. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Candidates may be admitted as entering freshmen, through the delayed admission program, or as transfer students.

What kind of student will be successful in the Carthage Nursing Program?
Successful students will be intelligent, caring, and open-minded. They have to be able to handle stress — not just the stress of taking care of patients, but also the stress of a rigorous undergraduate nursing program.

“The best students will be adaptable, flexible, with a deep concern for people’s welfare. They should have intellectual humility, because we can learn from anybody. They should be intellectually curious, willing to ask ‘Why do we do it that way? Why don’t we try it this way?’ They should be willing to go beyond the printed page.”
