New Student Orientation

Pre-Arrival Orientation Activities (Virtual)
Aug. 11 and Aug. 19

New Student orientation (in-Person)
Saturday, Sept. 4-Monday, Sept. 6

All incoming freshmen participate in New Student Orientation. These days of activities are a fun (and important) first step in your Carthage journey.

  • Meet other new students, as well as older students who can show you the ropes.
  • Learn where everything is on campus.
  • Get to know your hallmates, RA, and professional hall staff members.
  • Make tons of new friends.
  • Meet and work with our incredible faculty.
  • And much more!

New students can check in online this summer.

My.Carthage Check-in

Before you arrive on campus this fall, check in online through My.Carthage. My.Carthage is the official online portal at Carthage, where students go to access their course schedules, register for classes, and review their finances. You must complete online check-in to participate in New Student Orientation.

My.Carthage Check-in deadline was July 30, 2021.

Students gather in a lounge of one of the buildings in the Oaks Residential Village.

Housing Information

Ready to make yourself at home on campus? Residence hall and room/roommate assignments will be sent this summer. When you receive your housing information depends on when you turned in your housing application.

If you have questions about housing, please email housing@carthage.edu.

Medical Forms

Medical forms were due July 13, 2021

All students must provide their medical history, health insurance information, immunization history, and emergency contact information.

COVID-19 Vaccination Status Form

Carthage is requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. Students must submit their vaccination status using the online form or plan to bring their COVID-19 vaccine verification card to campus at arrival.

All Carthage community members must be vaccinated by Wednesday, Sept. 15.

“One of my favorite memories at Carthage was move-in day. I remember walking into my dorm for the first time and thinking, ‘Wow, today is the beginning of a whole new step and I couldn’t be in a more beautiful place.’”
