Carthage Kick-off Days

Carthage will kick off the 2018-2019 school year with several days of special events for all students. Be sure to join the fun! All events are free for students. 

Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018


8-9:30 p.m.

Chapel Night Live
A. F. Siebert Chapel
Chapel Night Live is for everyone! Meet the Center for Faith and Spirituality student staff and find all the great nooks and crannies of the chapel. Enjoy some ice cream, popcorn, and games! Meet Campus Pastor Kara Baylor and find out what the CFS is all about.

8-9:30 p.m.

Food Truck Fest
Kissing Rock and Campus Drive
Enjoy a late-night snack from local food trucks. A limited number of free vouchers for special food items will be available at Chapel Night Live. Other food options are available for purchase.

Kick Off Carnival featuring Live Band Karaoke!
Oaks Residential Village (Rain Location: Todd Wehr Center)
The Oaks Circle Drive will be filled to capacity with awesome entertainment to kick off the new school year. Come enjoy Live Band Karaoke, life-sized Light Bright, carnival games, spin art crafts, food, and more! Sponsored by the Carthage Activities Board.

Involvement Fair
Campus Drive, along Kissing Rock and Chapel Patio (Rain location: TARC Field House)
Mix and mingle with more than 100 organizations and learn how to get involved.

7:30-8 p.m.

Pizza-Palooza!
Art Keller Field (Rain location: Campbell Student Union)
Come hungry to sample local pizza offerings — all for free! Sponsored by the Carthage Activities Board.

8:30-10:30 p.m.

Drive-In Movie: “Avengers 3”
Art Keller Field (Rain location: Campbell Student Union Auditorium)
After getting your fill of pizza, bring your favorite blanket and pillow to watch the summer hit, “Avengers 3”!

11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Kenosha Outdoor Harbor Market (free trolley tickets available)
Downtown Kenosha
Enjoy Kenosha’s lakefront while perusing local food vendors and artists. Kenosha’s rubber-tired trolley will be starting early at 11 a.m. this day. Free trolley tickets can be picked up in the TWC Tech Office or at the Red Desk in Lentz Hall. This event is also a part of Kenosha’s Second Saturdays event, offering special events and deals at local businesses.

8-11 p.m.

The Tower Take Off
The Tower Residence Hall
Check out The Tower in a night filled with music, food demos, and free make-and-takes. Sponsored by Residence Life Council.

Rise and Dine with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Organizations
Meet at the TWC Couches to head into The Caf
Make new friends with members from the various diversity and equity student organizations while enjoying Sunday Brunch. Students will utilize their individual meal points.
