Presidential Transition Advisory Committee

The Presidential Transition Advisory Committee will develop and implement a transition plan and process that will allow our new president to quickly learn institutional history, culture, strengths, opportunities, and challenges. The plan will be designed to build mutual trust with internal and external communities, and to ensure transparency and open communication throughout the process. The committee is charged with:

  • Creating an outreach and orientation plan with a variety of internal campus constituencies;
  • Developing a list of key external stakeholders and planning for events to introduce the new president to these individuals and groups;
  • Coordinating briefing materials;
  • Communicating regularly with the campus community and board of trustees on the components and implementation of the transition process; and
  • Providing the new president with advisory and learning support throughout the first year.

The committee began its work in May 2017 and will continue through the president’s first year.
