Carthage has more than 130 student clubs and organizations through which RN-to-BSN students can get involved, explore possible careers, meet other students, work closely with faculty advisors, and perform customer service. See a full list of Carthage student organizations on The Harbor, our website for student organizations.
Nursing Student Council
The Nursing Student Council is the voice of the nursing student body to the Carthage faculty and administration. Every nursing cohort will have a representative who serves on the executive team of the council, which includes the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. This group is very important, as it participates with the faculty and administration in making decisions about the nursing program, and communicating important information to the nursing student body.
Sigma Theta Tau
Students with exemplary academic and leadership performance may be invited to join the Phi Beta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, nursing’s only international honor society. This organization is comprised of the brightest and best nursing has to offer, not only the United States, but worldwide.
Carthage Association of Nursing Students (CANS)
CANS is a professional development and community service organization that provides nursing students with opportunities to engage in social services to vulnerable populations within the Kenosha and Racine communities.
