Are you new to working out? Do you want to add some spice to your workouts? Maybe you just don’t know where to start. The personal trainers at Carthage can help.

Professionally certified personal trainers at Carthage can teach you proper workout habits and implement a program that fits you. What’s the best part? Personal training is free for Carthage students and staff. Send an email to Sam Craig at with any questions.

Personal training services:

  • Fitness center orientation. Perfect for first timers! Staff will introduce you to various cardio and strength machines while explaining proper technique and usage.
  • 30-minute or 60-minute training sessions. Personal trainers will take you through a workout based on your needs and goals.
  • Body composition tests. Test measures such as BMI, body fat, heart rate, and blood pressure to establish a baseline or assess progress.
  • Program assessment. Sit down with a staff member and assess current health practices, set SMART goals, and develop a program that works for you. 

Students use the TARC, the state-of-the-art fitness facility at Carthage College.
