Virtual Celebration of Scholars to be held Friday, March 26, 2021! 

Don’t miss the online presentations of our students, faculty, and staff as we celebrate their works of scholarship, research, and creativity. All are invited to join in recognizing the achievements of our presenters.

Online Exhibition of Research, Scholarship, and Creativity

4-6 p.m. Friday, March 26, Online

Carthage students and faculty will present their works of scholarship, research, and creativity at the 2021 Celebration of Scholars Online Exhibition. Each presenter or group of presenters will have an online abstract, virtual poster, and will be available to video chat during the event.

Carthage is using the Gather Town online platform for this virtual event.

Student Award Ceremony

6 p.m., Friday, March 26, Online

The Student Award Ceremony — always an important part of Celebration of Scholars — recognizes student achievements in leadership, campus involvement, service, and academics. Awards include the Student Leadership Awards, Intellectual Foundations Scholarships, and Global Heritage Prize. The recipient of the 2021 Distinguished Senior Award will also be announced. In coordination with #StaySafeCarthage guidelines, this year’s event will be held online through a pre-recorded video, which will go live at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 26.

Alpha Chi Induction Ceremony

4 p.m., Thursday, April 22, A. F. Siebert Chapel

The newest members of the Carthage College chapter of Alpha Chi will be inducted during the Alpha Chi Induction Ceremony. Alpha Chi is a National Honor Scholarship Society active on more than 300 college and university campuses nationwide. Students inducted into Alpha Chi are in the top 10 percent of the graduating senior class. In order to follow #StaySafeCarthage guidelines, only this year’s Alpha Chi inductees will be invited to the in-person gathering. Family members of inductees will be invited to watch the ceremony online. More information will be available soon.
