Located on the upper level of Hedberg Library, the Writing Center is staffed by undergraduate Writing Fellows whose initial semester-long training program is modeled on the training recommendations of the College Reading and Learning Association. These fellows represent a wide range of disciplines across the college and assist students from all majors with their writing projects.
While students may drop-in, appointments are strongly recommended, especially during midterms and toward the end of the semester. Students may schedule a single one-hour session or regular weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
“You do not need a draft of a paper to come to the Writing Center for help. We are happy to work with you to understand your assignment prompt or brainstorm ideas.” — Writing Center Director, Heather Carroll
