Carthage Paleo-track professor and students interviewed on 91.1 WGTD
Professor Thomas Carr and four paleo-track students were interviewed on “The Morning Show” with Professor Gregory Berg on 91.1 WGTD about their exciting trip to Brisbane, Australia to present their research at the 79th Annual Meeting of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
All five presented research on skeletal ontogeny (the growth and development of bones) of species ranging from prehistoric dinosaurs and marine lizards to modern-day elephants. The students — Amelia Zietlow ’20, Adam Larson ’20, Douglas Stefanski ’20, and Brady Holbach ’20 — presented posters, and their advisor, Prof. Thomas Carr, gave a lecture.
See the posters:
- Amelia Zietlow ’20, biology major — Craniofacial Ontogeny in Tylosaurus proriger
- Adam Larson ’20, biology major and sociology minor — Ontogenetic Changes in the Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius)
- Douglas Stefanski ’20, biology major — Craniofacial Ontogeny in Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis
- Brady Holbach ’20, biology and geoscience double major — Craniofacial Ontogeny in Massospondylus carinatus
